Episode #5 - United Kingdom Ghosts
This week’s show takes Mindy on a trip through the United Kingdom.
There first stop is in Scotland, where Andrew Neill (ToxicDeath) tells of a personal experience he had while watching TV as a child. His second experience occurred at Mary King’s Close.
Mary chimes in next by pointing Mindy in the direction of the BBC documentary Haunted London Underground. And Mary’s email got Mindy thinking about what other ghosts call the Underground home. Looking around, she also found a first-hand story on the Female Horror Director blog, complete with a video of the experience.
All the talk about ghosts in the United Kingdom reminded Mindy of a haunted place she visited while living in London. As part of a class trip, she visited Warwick Castle’s Ghost Tower and shared her thoughts and those of others. She even learned of a ghost tour hosted by Haunted Happenings.
Finally, Mindy reviews Susan Hill’s book The Woman in Black and the play later adapted from it. To this day, the play still haunts Mindy, and it’s something she recommends everyone see.

Great show Mindy! I received a Haunted Underground book for my birthday this year. You’ve encouraged me to get on and read it! I love the London Underground. It’s history and it’s ghost stations intrigue me. I have a bit of a thing for subterranea. I also love the artwork that goes into a lot of the posters for the Tube, especially the older ones.
I second your advice on seeing The Woman in Black. It’s my favourite theatre experience. I’ve seen it twice now and it didn’t lose it’s punch the second time around.
